Ballet Folklórico El Tapatío is a community-centered cultural arts program, with the guidance of Bayside Community Center, dedicated to providing accessible folklórico dance education to children and youth, including those from low-income households. Through high-quality instruction in traditional Mexican regional dances, our program nurtures confidence, discipline, creativity, and pride in cultural heritage.

Over the course of 12 weeks, dancers learn authentic choreography, technique, music, and the history behind each region—while also building meaningful connections with their peers and the community. By removing financial barriers and offering a welcoming, inclusive environment, Ballet Folklórico El Tapatío empowers young dancers to grow artistically and personally as they celebrate and preserve the beauty of Mexican folklórico.
